Samuel A. Alito Jr. · Concurrence in the judgment, joined by Thomas and Gorsuch

Fulton v. City of Philadelphia, 593 U.S. 522, 566–67 & n.31 (2021) (Alito, J., concurring in the judgment).

Alito quotes the opening of the verb exercise entry, which concerns repeated practice or employment. The same entry also covers movement for health, military training, and testing patience through ill treatment. The separate noun entry concerns tasks or performances by scholars; it should not be conflated with the verb quoted in the concurrence.
